Hi,
thanks for a powerful filter feature! Now it is very convenient to manage my collection. But I have a small but annoying problem. In my collection about hundred different countries and in filter menu popup they do not fit in one column. Is it possible to make it different way? It is uncomfortable to scroll this looooong list.
BTW, you've promised new release in this month… We are waiting… ;)

But described above problem remains :-(
You don't like current implementation but you don't say how it will be more useful in your opinion (see our question in the first part). That's why there is no changes. :!:

huh! so, without user opinions and suggestions you can't create a better usability for filter?
for example look in windows start menu: if there are too many programs installed (or low screen resolution) it is displayed just in two or more columns.
or you can create and edit field where user can just enter full country name or part of it...

First of all we try to create a software for really convenient usage by our users, by our collectors. You know, CollectionStudio software just a tool for them, which helps to organize all processes in collecting, in their particular hobby and even little bit more. In spite of most of our developers are collectors (such as serge is amateur of old banknotes, basil is numismatist), we still can not see and foresee all possible good ways how to best organize framework in CS for collecting for thousands of collectors. For all of them. That's why we always ask them for suggestions and for their opinions. We want to accumulate all possible ways and implement most usable ways at first and of course most demanded issues too.

C'mon ladies, stop fighting :alc:
Jim, you must agree that CS support is working just great and most suggestions we've meed have been quickly implemented.
Serge, Jim is one valuable user who's testing everything and similar to all of us, he's aiming at best improvements. We have created a small community and I am proud to be part of it. So please stop reading my posts and get back to work :P
BTW, how about v3.54 released by the end of this week?
:balloon:
BTW, how about v3.54 released by the end of this week?
Oh, I think it will be too fast for new release to be ready... Generally we (developers) have agreed to make a stable new version of CS each month. I think 3.54 will be released near 25-29th March. (I think waiting more two weeks for newer features will worth it  )
Dear Serge, is there any progress with scrolling the filter menu or the idea has been dropped?
No, we don't drop anything!... We just did not make new CollectionStudio releases before your suggestion/reminder. During discussions, we have agreed to make a completely new architecture of this menu. And it was already implemented via new value selector for list filter to work with huge number of different values. See attached screen shot:

Second pop-up with countries organised by letters is excellent idea, I like it very much!!! ;)
How about the numerical values for other custom fields?
