Hello,
I am trying to do an import from excel into this software. I made a test entry in the software and then exported it to excel so that I could see how it needed to be laid out. I have then copied my entries under the relevant fields and saved the excel file as a CSV file. When I do an import it comes up with an error saying items failed 100 items imported 0.
It seems to do this no matter whether I import as CSV or Excel etc.
What Do I need to do ?

Did you perform all steps, described in the help article "import"?
(another ability: you can send us your csv file, and we will check why it cannot be imported...)

Thank you for your sample collection send to us via e-mail.
We can import these data into CollectionStudio using CSV data format using "tabulator" symbol as delimiter. Excel supports this saving format. This will resolve the first problem - tabulator is unique symbol for your collections data (it was never used in the data fields inside text). But we have another problem in your xls file - it is you have "line feeds" in "comments" column. Excel places these line feeds as line feeds, so we detect a new record on each line feed. It can be resolved with manual editing of the exported file, taken from first step: "xsl -> csv(tabs)". Than you can import your data into CollectionStudio!
