Hello,

I use Collection Studio for my banknotes collection.

Although I see that there are customizable fields, I wish we had a specific field for entering the respective catalog number. Actually we could have 2 fields:

"International Catalog #"

"Regional Catalog #"

For international catalog, the most complete and usual is "Pick" and so, it could be "Pick #" instead of "International Catalog #".

Many countries have their own catalog and so, it would be interesting to have a field for that too ("Regional catalog #";).

Since this is a very important information when classifying the notes, I wish those fields be present in the tab "Banknotes" (first tab).

Those fields should accept alfa characters for example "182a".

I tried to use the fields "Index" and "External Index" but I believe that they are for other purpose.

This idea should extend to other collectibles which there are catalogs like "coins" and "stamps".

What do you think?

Rodrigo

Please add a field for the PICK number, it is the universal identification number for International Bank Notes.

Also have you ever talked to Krause publications regarding their database of International Banknote images and info?

Jumping on this idea, for me one ultimate idea would be to just input the Pick# and automatically get a choice of images .. i spend a lot of time to find the right image/scan the note to include in my CollectionStudio ..

maybe would be nice using just Google (with the country and pick#)

maybe would be nice checking with Colnect.com (where they have a lot of images)

or maybe linking with Owen W. Linzmayer ( http://www.banknotenews.com/ ) . His Banknote Update is very beautiful and contains color scans ..

Krause would be also an option although B/W scans are not very appealing nowadays

keep the good work, this is a very nice software you have here
